The primary mission of the Final Salute Guard of Honor is to provide funeral honors to all local veterans. Full veteran honors will be provided to those who have gone before us with a dignified and honorable ceremony in conjunction with the appropriate branch of the military or independently when a military honors detail is unavailable. We will always conduct these ceremonies with humbled reverence in a respectful and professional manner. We will perform to the best of our abilities with professionalism and integrity to properly honor our country’s warriors.

I am committed to serve as a member of the Final Salute Guard of Honor, my standards of conduct and level of professionalism shall be above reproach, for I represent all Veterans.
I am committed to wearing the ceremonial uniform of the Guard of Honor, one that shows honor and respect to all veterans, past and present, for whom I wear it properly and proudly.
I will never allow my performance to be dictated by type of ceremony, weather conditions or size of the crowd. I will remain committed to perfect all movements of every drill and ceremony.
I am obligated to this creed and will constantly strive to excel out of a deep devotion to serve on the Guard of Honor and dedicated to “Honoring Those Who Have Gone Before Us”.
I represent all veterans, past or present, of the United States Armed Forces, I vow to act in an honorable and dignified manner, for I am the Guard of Honor.
